What is Venus Legacy?

Venus Legacy uses an applicator on the skin surface to deliver multipolar radiofrequency and pulsed electromagnetic fields. Treatment options depend on the applicator and the concern being assessed.

US clearance is specific: certain applicators treat moderate to severe facial wrinkles in females with Fitzpatrick skin types I-IV; others temporarily reduce the appearance of cellulite. This does not establish suitability for every person or treatment area.

Contact our Arcadia clinic near Pasadena or our Los Altos clinic in the San Francisco Bay Area. Confirm treatment availability at your preferred office when booking.

Which concern do you want to address?

Explain whether your priority is facial wrinkles, cellulite appearance or another concern. Ask your practitioner to distinguish the proposed benefit from outcomes the treatment is not intended to provide.

A consultation should establish what change is realistic, which applicator is proposed and how the result would be assessed. Do not assume that a non-surgical treatment provides the same correction as a facelift.

Questions about treatment areas

Ask the practitioner to explain why the proposed area and applicator fit your goals and whether the intended use falls within the device indications.

Before starting a course, discuss:

  • The exact concern and area to be treated
  • The expected benefit and its limitations
  • Your health history and previous treatments
  • Possible side effects and the recovery plan

Visit our Venus Legacy gallery and discuss any examples with your practitioner. Individual outcomes do not predict your result.

What happens during treatment?

Radiofrequency produces heating beneath the applicator. Some applicators also use pulsed suction. Ask which applicator will be used and what sensations to expect.

Comfort and recovery should be discussed before treatment. Tell your practitioner if the treatment is uncomfortable, and request individual aftercare instructions rather than relying on a promise of painless treatment or no downtime.

How should I compare my options?

Start with your goal and ask what each proposed option can reasonably change. For facial skin concerns, you can also read about Thermage FLX and bring comparison questions to your consultation.

Planning a Venus Legacy consultation

Bring your main concerns, previous treatment history and questions about cost to your consultation. Ask which options fit your goals, what the proposed course includes and when your progress would be reviewed.

Ask the clinic to confirm appointment availability, the proposed areas and the full course cost before booking treatment.

Results and follow-up

The cellulite indication is for temporary improvement in appearance. Results vary, and a fixed number of sessions cannot promise a particular outcome.

Agree on when to review progress and whether further sessions are appropriate. A maintenance schedule should follow an assessment of your response and goals.

Discuss any concerns about treatment or recovery with your practitioner before proceeding.
